WOMEN Sentenced to Death: An Invisible Reality
Am 10. Oktober 2021, dem 19. Welttag gegen die Todesstrafe, ging es darum, das Bewusstsein für die Rechte und die Situation von Frauen zu schärfen, die zum Tode
verurteilt oder hingerichtet wurden. Die Initiative gegen die Todesstrafe e.V. ergänzt ihre Projektwebsite von 2018 um entsprechende Beiträge.
On 10 October 2021, the 19th World Day Against the Death Penalty aimed at raising awareness on the rights and the situation of women who have been sentenced to death or executed. The German Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty supplements its project website of 2018 with corresponding contributions.
On the occasion of World Day 2021, the German Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty wrote to the 50 or so women on death row in the USA and, in addition to
arranging pen-palships, offered to publish contributions of various kinds from them if they wanted to make their voices heard. We published these contributions on our website around October 10,

Die Initiative gegen die Todesstrafe e.V. hat anlässlich des Welttages 2021 die rund 50 Frauen in den Todestrakten der USA angeschrieben und neben der Vermittlung von Brieffreundschaften angeboten, Beiträge verschiedenster Art von ihnen zu veröffentlichen, wenn sie denn ihre Stimme hörbar machen wollten.
